Benefits of
Massage & Accoutrements:

Massage:

  • reduces muscle tension.

  • improves circulation.

  • stimulates the lymphatic system.

  • reduces stress hormones.

  • relaxes the whole body and mind.

  • increases joint mobility and flexibility.

  • improves skin tone.

  • improves recovery of soft tissue injuries.

Castor Oil (scalp treatment):

Applying castor oil just once a month can boost hair growth up to five times the usual rate. It can moisturize a dry, irritated scalp. Castor oil's antibacterial and antifungal properties can reduce dandruff. It can help grow hair in other parts of the body, like the eyebrows and eyelashes.

Castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to improve circulation and stimulate hair follicles. Improving circulation allows oxygen and nutrients to be delivered to the hair follicles to maintain scalp and hair health.

Fine and medium hair should smooth castor oil through their mid-lengths and ends, leaving it on for up to 30 minutes before shampooing. Coarse, thick, and ultra-dry hair types, on the other hand, can leave castor oil in as an overnight treatment or smooth it over their ends as a leave-in.

Olive Oil
(scalp treatment):

Olive oil can condition dry hair, strengthen hair follicles, repair damage, and keep hair manageable. This result is stronger hair and lesser hair fall. While there's no strong evidence to support hair growth, olive oil is said to boost overall hair health, which means it'll help grow hair faster. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, which can help to nourish and moisturize the scalp, preventing dryness and flakiness. It can also help to improve blood circulation and therefore help to promote hair growth, making it an excellent choice for a natural scalp treatment. There's nothing harmful about conditioning with olive oil. Unless your hair is dry enough to require a moisturizing treatment every day, use it once a week or one a month.

Sugar Scrub:

Sugar scrubs are mild and help remove dead skin. They also help rejuvenate the skin by cleaning all the dirt from the skin pores. With all the dead skin and dirt removed, the new skin is more radiant and you have a healthier glow. Sugar has a natural anti-aging effect on the skin.

Sugar granules are rounder and less abrasive than salt, making them a gentler exfoliant. A natural source of glycolic acid (an AHA), sugar breaks down layers of dead skin and smooths the skin's surface. It also speeds up rehydration, keeping skin conditioned and moisturized.

You shouldn't use a body scrub every day; exfoliation can be harsh on the skin, and over-exfoliation can damage the skin cells and prevent natural restoration. You don't want to overly strip the skin of moisture or compromise the skin barrier. Aim to use body scrub 1-2 times a week at the most.

Salt Scrub:

Salt scrubs can detox and exfoliate your skin but are harsher than sugar scrubs and could leave sensitive skin feeling dry if you use the wrong salt. You can enjoy fresh and restored skin when you find the right salt scrub. The benefits of salt scrubs include: detoxing abilities, salt removes toxins from your body and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. Your skin radiates the fresh clean aroma scent for days.

Silicone Cups:

Silicone cups help improve circulation, release fascia, and relax muscles. Silicone cupping improves overall health by removing energy blockages and promotes a good flow of healthy energy or qi. The greatest benefits of cupping include local pain relief and muscle relaxation. Did you know that cupping massage for the face helps to reduce wrinkles and puffiness?

Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This can relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It can also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

What to avoid after cupping or a cupping massage: For 4-6 hours post cupping, avoid exposure to: Caffeine, alcohol, sugary foods and drinks, dairy, and processed meats. These foods slow down your body's ability to process the treatment.

While there are not any dangerous side effects of cupping therapy, some patients may experience nausea, sweating or dizziness, mild soreness in the areas where cupping is used and minimal pain.

Hot Stones:

Hot stone massage can relieve pain and tension in your muscles due to the combination of massage therapy and heat. Heat is often recommended to treat achy muscles. Applying heat to an area of the body helps increase blood flow to that spot, which improves healing. The heat from the stones can also help increase blood flow to the affected regions, which can hasten the healing process and lessen swelling and inflammation. It also aids in the release of toxins, improves circulation, and calms the nervous system. Heated stones have long been used to reduce stress and anxiety which promotes a deeper sleep. Heated stones may also help relieve symptoms of autoimmune diseases, decrease cancer symptoms and boost immunity.

Himalayan Stones:

Himalayan salt is a brilliant natural exfoliator that will blast away dead cells for softer, brighter-looking skin. Whilst regular salt can be drying, the minerals in Himalayan salt help to restore deep hydration to the skin and helps in the management of muscle cramps by enhancing blood circulation. Its grounding properties help to improve sleep and balance the Central Nervous System. Himalayan Salt Stone Massage supports Electromagnetic Overload from electronic devices. Additionally, the stone's natural salt properties gently exfoliate the skin to promote naturally smooth and silky skin, reducing signs of aging and aids weight loss by expelling excess water from the Cells. A simple glide over the skin allows skin to absorb 84 naturally occurring minerals and salts found in the Himalayan salt stone.  Basalt is the ideal material for hot stone massage. The composition of this volcanic rock (high silica and iron content) makes it hold heat longer than most stones. Himalayan stone is full of nutrients and minerals and contains detoxifying properties to help clean and soften your skin. Although Himalayan salt is generally regarded as safe, some people may react negatively to it. Your massage therapist should examine your skin for any rashes or allergic reactions before beginning the massage. It's best to inform your therapist in advance if you have sensitive skin.

Caution: All hot stones are dangerous for people with high blood pressure, heart disease and circulatory disorders, as the temperature of the stones may need to be adjusted. Hot stones therapy treatment would naturally be inappropriate for clients with skin, which is intolerant to heat, or very sensitive skin.

CBD:

When CBD oil is used on the skin, it locates natural endocannabinoid molecules in our system, then binds with them and activates receptors in the ECS system to help stimulate the effects of pain relief and relaxation, ultimately calming the nervous system. After receiving a CBD massage, make sure you do not shower! You should already be clean from beforehand, allow the skin to soak up the benefits of the oils.

While a CBD massage can help you get better sleep, it won't induce drowsiness, so it is safe to receive a CBD massage and then drive a vehicle. Additionally, you don't have to schedule the massage close to bedtime either for it to help you get a good night's sleep. It helps to alleviate inflammation, reduce pain, improve blood pressure, improve the health and appearance of skin, aid in muscle recovery, and much more.

Caution:  Though it's often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness, and fatigue.

Heat:

Heat has long been used to ease muscle tension and pain. It helps increase blood flow to the affected area. It may also reduce muscle spasms and increase flexibility and range of motion.

Cold:

Cold application can cause a decrease in inflammation and reduced pain. The use of cold can be used in an acute complaint or injury to decrease pain, to reduce muscle spasms, and to help break up a bruised area. Ice packs, ice cubes, or cryo-cups (ice cups) can all be used for cold applications in massage.
